Biography

Evelyn Hsu, MD joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2011, where she became Division Chief in 2020. She earned a medical doctorate degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin in 2003, following which she completed pediatric residency training at the University of Washington/Seattle Children's Hospital in 2006. She went on to pursue further subspecialty fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and Pediatric Advanced/Transplant Hepatology. She is boarded in Pediatrics (2006), subspecialty boarded in Pediatric Gastroenterology (2011) and has additional certification in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology (2012).  Her main research area of focus has been in pediatric liver allocation policy and its relationship to pediatric liver transplant waitlist and post transplant outcomes.  She is currently the vice-president of the Society of Pediatric LIver Transplantation (SPLIT).
